Agency for Health Quality and Assessment of Catalonia

Providing health evidence and knowledge to inform decision-making to contribute to the improvement of quality, efficiency, and sustainability of health system.

The Agency for Health Quality and Assessment of Catalonia (AQuAS) is a public entity attached to the Department of Health of the Government of Catalonia and member of the Spanish Network of Agencies for Assessing National Health System Technologies and Performance (RedETS) that acts at the service of public policies and is subject to the private legal system. AQuAS has the mission of generating relevant knowledge, through the evaluation and analysis of data for decision-making, in order to contribute to the improvement of the health of citizens and the sustainability of the health system. AQuAS offers expertise and knowledge to inform decision-making in order to promote an equitable, efficient, and high-quality health system. The focus areas of AQuAS are articulated around health technology assessment (HTA), digital health, data analytics, best practice in health, health research, and public procurement of innovation (PPI) in health.

In the EDiHTA project, AQuAS leads Work Package 4. Additionally, is involved in different tasks related to project management, communication, dissemination and stakeholder engagement. Furthermore, AQuAS engages in the testing and validation of approaches and ideas.
