EDiHTA presented at the 6th European Commission HTA Stakeholder Network Meeting

On Friday, 24 October 2025, Jacob Levi from European Health Management Association, presented the EDiHTA project at the 6th meeting of the European Commission Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Stakeholder Network. The event brought together representatives from EU institutions, health authorities, academia and industry to discuss progress in implementing the new HTA Regulation (HTAR) and its methodological framework.

During the Breakout Session on Methodological and Procedural Guidance, Jacob shared insights from EDiHTA’s work and engaged in discussions on key technical and procedural challenges for joint clinical assessments. Topics included how to address informative censoring and Type II error differentials between vaccines and medicinal products — issues that will shape the future of evidence generation and evaluation across Europe.

Reflecting on the event, Jacob noted the strong interest in EDiHTA’s work among stakeholders and the constructive exchange of ideas on advancing EU-level collaboration in HTA. He also highlighted that while the HTAR marks a major step forward in reducing duplication and accelerating equitable access to health technologies, several procedural details still require clarification as the new system is put into practice.

The participation of EHMA and EDiHTA in this key European forum underscores the project’s contribution to building shared methodological understanding and supporting effective implementation of the HTAR through evidence, dialogue and collaboration.
